Documented-as-photograph-of-ephemera (tickets and flyer)
June 1990. Two Continental Airlines ticket stubs, issued to Arkus-Duntov/Zora and Arkus-Duntov/Elfi. Beside them, a flyer for the 15th Annual Class Glass Corvette Assoc. Corvette Concourse, 10 June 1990, at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet, Paramus, NJ. We do not hold the paper. The stitch rides on a photograph of that ephemera. She is still traveling under Arkus-Duntov. That matches the marriage-held core.
Documented-as-scan (letter, 30 April 1991)
A letter on Chevrolet / General Motors letterhead, dated 30 April 1991, from Zora to Gary Konner at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet, Paramus, NJ. He congratulates Gary as the #1 Corvette dealer in the USA. He mentions a visit to the dealership in June of the previous year. Signed ZAD. The letter confirms Zora was there in June 1990. It does not name Elfi in the letter text. Elfi’s presence on that trip rides on the ticket stubs, not on this page of GM stationery.
Documented-as-Furman-caption (one witness)
Mike Furman caption: he spent twelve summers with Zora and Elfi at Malcolm Konner Corvette shows, 1978–1990, Paramus, NJ. He calls them terrific family friends of the Konner family. One witness. Twelve years. Do not treat that caption as primary against paper we do not hold. It still names the pattern: after his 1 January 1975 retirement, they kept going to the same New Jersey dealer show, summer after summer, together. That is her line through his after-years. Not a stack of engines. Not the National Corvette Museum. Not a museum partnership.
What this is not
Furman’s caption also names Gary Konner’s birthday. The flyer is a concourse on 10 June 1990. Keep them separate. This page does not invent a birthday party scene, dialogue, or a room we cannot source. A pink hat marked ZORA ’91 IS BACK exists in the same scroll. Do not write a 1991 Elfi return until a flyer or ticket names her. Do not put phone numbers from any letterhead on this site. Do not reproduce third-party trademarks as house marks. Do not use Facebook photographs on this site; we have no rights claim on those stills.
OPEN
OPEN if you want clean scans of the ticket stubs and the 30 April 1991 letter in house files: we have photographs of ephemera and a screenshot of a scan, not the paper. OPEN whether Elfi stood on the Paramus lot on the concourse day itself beyond the tickets that name her for the June 1990 travel. OPEN any Class Glass / Konner 1990 file at the National Corvette Museum until Betty or Madison say otherwise. The page is thick enough for a late-life public appearance together. It is not thick enough for a party invented to fill a blank.
The photograph on this page is a period photograph of Elfi Arkus-Duntov. It is labelled period. It is not a Malcolm Konner show still. It is not a cartoon. The First Lady title note holds the museum and biographer tradition. The Sea Witch then Sea Elf note holds another after-years stitch on Lake St. Clair. The Zora note holds the engineering lane.
Margot Dorée is writing the forthcoming novel in that lane. North Star Publishing Group will publish it. Working title First Lady of Corvette. Expected September 2026. It is independent. It is not General Motors. It is not in the museum shop. It will not invent a birthday party, a 1991 Elfi return, or dialogue from a Facebook caption.
While that book is still on the way, the live book in the same house is The Woman on the Bonnet: another woman, another machine, another record that will not be decorated.
